Thank you Stanthorpe SES
After a mini tornado tore apart the High Street Motor Inn late last year, a long road to restoration lay ahead. Thanks to the volunteers at the State Emergency Service, the motel was back in operation in time for the Apple & Grape Festival. To show their gratitude, the owners of the High Street Motor Inn presented the local SES with $2000 at their open day event. Albert Piper on behalf the Stanthorpe SES collected the two cheques on the day – one for $1000 from the raffle tickets in the Steakhouse and $1000 from Rotary Stanthorpe. This donation enabled the SES unit to procure the purchase of latest technology lighting which is portable and safer for use in storm conditions, search & rescuse along with other multiple uses.
