July Update

Thank you Stanthorpe SES After a mini tornado tore apart the High Street Motor Inn late last year, a long road to restoration lay ahead. Thanks to the volunteers at the State Emergency Service, the motel was back in operation in time for the Apple & Grape Festival. To show their gratitude, the owners of the High Street Motor Inn presented the local SES with $2000 at their open day event. Albert Piper on behalf the Stanthorpe SES collected the two cheques on the day – one for $1000 from the raffle tickets in the Steakhouse and $1000 from Rotary Stanthorpe. This donation enabled the SES unit to procure the purchase of latest technology lighting which is portable and safer for use in storm conditions, search & rescuse along with other multiple uses. The Steakhouse lounge Those winter temperatures have finally arrived on the Granite Belt and the log fire has been roaring every night at the Steakhouse, perfect for enjoying a local drop…. or two!
